Adam Pracht
The best word to describe Adam Pracht is "nerd."
That is, he's a passionate intellectual who can become obsessive in his interests. And for that, it's a term that's a point of pride.
Pracht graduated from the University of Kansas in 2004 with highest distinction from the journalism school and was honored to carry the school banner at graduation. He has received the Robert F. Kennedy award, 5th place Hearst award in personality/profiles writing and a Runner-up recognition in the Roy W. Howard Awards.
He has written on a variety of beats for the University Daily Kansan, Salina Journal, Junction City Daily Union and Iowa City Press-Citizen.
Currently he works full-time in retail banking with part time work for a local Kansas radio station.
He retains a passionate interest in science fiction and fantasy (both books and films), good music of all kinds, computer games both online and offline and is a certified podcast addict.
Pracht is an Eagle Scout and has been on numerous hiking trips in the Rocky Mountains and camping trips.
He has two children and has learned much about parenting by trial and error.
Pracht writes regular reviews for Suite101.com: Fun and Free Online - reviewing free and entertaining online games, applications and Web sites; Podcast Picks - reviewing standout podcasts; and Sci Fi and Fantasy Finds - reviewing recently released fantasy and science fiction books.
